About the Program
MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Through this program, students develop the skills required to assist doctors, treat patients and perform administrative duties in healthcare settings. The program provides both clinical and administrative preparation. Areas of instruction include a foundation in healthcare, medical terminology, vital signs, infection control, medical records management, pharmacology and anatomy & physiology. The curriculum will also include medical malpractice, medical law and ethics, basic administrative skills, electrocardiology, nutrition, and medical laboratory assistant skills.
