Law and Public Safety at Absegami High School
About the Program
The goal of this program is to prepare students for careers in law enforcement, emergency services, and other related fields. The curriculum of the program will include courses in criminal justice, law enforcement, and emergency services. Students will have the opportunity to participate in internships, job shadowing, and other hands-on learning experiences with local law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations. In addition to academic coursework, students in these programs may also receive specialized training in areas such as CPR, first aid, 911 Dispatcher and other industry-valued credentials. Participation in this program can provide students with a strong foundation and help them develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in these careers. Prior to graduation, all Seniors will be required to complete 120 hours of an approved internship in their respective career field through a work-based learning placement.
