Who says fashion is only about the runway? This month, the sophomore Fashion Design students proved that a needle and thread can be powerful tools for giving back.
Under the guidance of their teacher, Mr. Daniel Steinen, the talented class channeled their sewing superpowers into a special service project benefiting Cross’d Paws Farm Sanctuary, a local nonprofit organization operated by staff members Dr. Klem and Dr. Federenko, Cross’d Paws Farm Sanctuary, Inc., Pomona, NJ .
The bustling classroom sounded like a factory of kindness as students measured, cut, and stitched around the clock. Thanks to their diligent work, the sophomores successfully created about 130 custom pet bandanas. These stylish accessories will go directly to helping the rescued pets and livestock who call the sanctuary home.
Through hard work and creative flair, these students showed that true style is always compassionate.
Way to go, sophomores!
