A massive shout-out to our creative and compassionate staff who participated in the "Sewing for Charity" workshop during our February 13 in-service! Led by our own Fashion teacher, Julie Petrella, this hands-on session turned professional development into a heartfelt community mission.
Working alongside local representatives from Ryan’s Case for Smiles, staff members learned the fundamentals of pillowcase construction while discussing how to integrate service learning into the classroom. The results were incredible: 30 handmade pillowcases were completed to bring comfort and color to children receiving cancer treatment in local hospitals.
