Air Force JROTC
The JROTC program provides a four-year, sequential program of instruction that emphasizes academic preparation, citizenship, leadership and character development. The objectives of our Air Force JROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, self-discipline and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals. Program graduates earn a high school diploma and are eligible for various apprenticeship programs, college or other post-secondary education programs.
Student spend their first year learning basic skills in carpentry, electrical technology, and plumbing. Students then choose the field they wish to concentrate on for the remainder of the four year program. Program graduates earn a high school diploma and an industry recognized certification. Graduates are eligible for various apprenticeship programs, college or other post-secondary education programs.
Home to a major destination, Atlantic County boasts thousands of culinary career opportunities for highly skilled candidates. At ACIT, we provide an in-demand specialized education, as well as a distinctive advantage in continuing your studies at Atlantic Cape Community College, Stockton College, the Culinary Institute of America or similar institutions if desired. Our Culinary Arts students have complete access to a fully-equipped, state of the art kitchen facility where they experience a full-scale culinary operation. Students have the opportunity to compete in exciting culinary competitions during the school year, receive college credit for their coursework and intern in some of the most prestigious local restaurants and businesses in our area. Upon completion of the course students earn a high school diploma and can receive certification in ServSaf, a widely recognized national food safety training program.
Hospitality Travel & Tourism
The ACIT Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT) helps students chart career paths in one of the world’s largest industries, from hotel management to sports, entertainment and event management. The AOHT curriculum engages students through a series of career exploration courses with applicable resources such as guest speakers, event participation and field trips. Curriculum is vetted by industry professionals to ensure content is current and relevant. The following topics are covered with in curriculum: Geography and Tourism, Customer Service, Sustainable Tourism, Hotel Accommodations and Lodging, Airline Industry, Cruise Industry, Hospitality Law and Business Management. Program graduates earn a high school diploma and are eligible for various apprenticeship programs, college or other post-secondary education programs.
Health Science & Medicine
The healthcare industry is one of the leading employers in New Jersey. We help prepare our students for careers as nurses, surgical technicians, physicians, physical therapists, EMTs, dietitians and pharmacists. Program graduates earn a high school diploma and an industry recognized EMT and CPR certification. Students participate in Dual Enrollment courses with Rutgers Stockton and ACCC and can go on to pursue a college degree or an in industry career.
Information Technology (IT) remains one of the fastest growing and highest paid employment sectors. Our students learn about and gain access to the very latest in hardware and software on the market reviewing coding, application building, graphic design, TV and video production etc. through this four year program. Program graduates earn a high school diploma and industry recognized certificates in Microsoft and IC3. Students can pursue a college degree and a career as a software engineer, game programmer, database manager or other professional IT occupations.
Math, Engineering & Science
Our four year curriculum is designed to stimulate and challenge highly motivated students who plan to pursue a college degree in engineering math or science. Students with interest in careers such as mechanical, bio-medical and civil engineering; computation science; aviation science are encouraged to apply. Program graduates earn a high school diploma; they will also have an advantage in technical knowledge while pursing further studies in the college of their choice on the path to a rewarding career.
The Academy of Performing Arts is a four- year program that prepare students academically for entry into post-secondary performing arts programs as well as professional careers. Students spend their first year learning various aspects of ACIT's Performing Arts Academy. Students are then placed in either dance, vocal music, technical theater or drama their second year. Student participate in performances such as the school musical, winter and spring showcases and other various community events.
