The Alternative High School Stars Program is a special education program specifically designed for high school students with special needs. These students are afforded an extensive array of services that include the following:
- Low teacher to student ratio
- Individualized instruction
- Transition services/School to Work Programs
The ACAHS Special Education teacher works with the sending districts to develop an individualized education program or IEP for each special education student. The special education teacher then tailors these personalized goals to student's individual learning ability and style. There is also a transition plan that is developed to help guide/prepare students for life after high school.
