About The Academies

The Career Academies of ACIT
Education is changing quickly, and traditional high school is no longer the only route to college or career success. The four Academies of ACIT create a pathway between high school, further education and the workplace.

The career academies at ACIT offer full-time, four year high school programs that include both academic and career technical courses. Students participate in paid summer internships and other career-related experiences outside the classroom, and can even earn college credits while in high school. Graduates enjoy an inside track for high-level positions in the industry.

What Makes ACIT Academies different?
It’s four years of fun that ends with a future!

Real World Experiences
Exciting, hands-on experience in the real world prepares ACIT Academy students to continue their education at the college level or enter the workplace upon graduation. Guest speakers, live demonstrations, job shadowing and faculty members with a wealth of knowledge in their chosen fields give our students a leg up on a fulfilling future.

State-of-the-Art Technology
ACIT features a campus-wide wireless Internet system with desktop and laptop computers, and distance learning opportunities.

Job Placement or College Credits
Our students graduate with official certifications or licensure in their areas of study. While we have an excellent reputation for placing students in high-level positions in the workplace, an ever-growing number of our students seek advanced education. We have agreements in place with Atlantic Cape Community College that enables students in qualifying programs to earn college credits for work accomplished while at ACIT through online coures and/or concurrent enrollment at ACCC. The chance to earn these credits gives our Academy students a significant head start on their college education.

Our Mission
To prepare and motivate students to pursue entry into the world of work, professional programs or further education through a challenging, specialized, NJCCC Standards-aligned curriculum, community-based partnerships and field-based experiences inspiring students

The Academies include the following areas of study:
