Aldo Papone Awards

The Aldo Papone Awards for Leadership in Academy Performance serve to recognize excellence in NAF Academies that are on the leading edge of high school reform.  A total of ten awards will be given in the categories of high performance and most improved.  One Academy in each category will be selected from each region to receive $5,000, which the recipient Academy may elect to use for student scholarships, awards or program support.  The National Academy Foundation is pleased to offer these awards through generous partnership with American Express.

Aldo Papone is the retired chairman and chief executive officer of American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc.  Mr. Papone is committed to encouraging young people to pursue careers in the hospitality and tourism field and developing the global human resources that are needed to advance hospitality and tourism, the world’s largest industry.
